HUDSON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team closed out its regular season as it tied for fourth-place at the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Championships hosted by John Carroll University at the Country Club of Hudson.

The OAC Fall and Spring Championships determine the regular season champion.  The spring championship was originally scheduled for two-days and 36-holes but was shortened to 18-holes after the first round was washed out due to heavy rain and course conditions.

BW was tied for fourth of 9 teams with 315 strokes on the par-72 and 6,726-yard Hudson layout.   John Carroll won the spring championships with a score of 309.

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) and freshman Roni Shin (Rocky River) as the duo each fired rounds of 77 to finish tied for sixth place of 58 golfers.  Senior Hunter Miller (Frankfort/Adena) carded a round of 80.  Junior Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) posted a round of 81. Rounding out the top five was sophomore Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia) as he tallied a round of 88.

Playing as individuals were freshmen Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) and Steve Newbould (Parma/Valley Forge).  Bratsch carded a 78 while Newbould posted an 80.

BW is back in action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 3-5 when it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the OAC Championships hosted by Muskingum University at the River Greens Golf Course.
