AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Four Baldwin Wallace University men's golf student-athletes have been selected to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.
In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
Seniors Brad Blaine (Brooklyn), Brandon Fatsie (North Olmsted), Jack Kyle (Bay Village/Bay) and Adam Morris (Grafton/Midview) are four of the 62 Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be recognized this spring.
Blaine, who earns his first Academic All-OAC honor, is a business administration major who carries a 3.533 GPA. Academically, he is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and the 2016-17 recipient of the BW Academic Excellence Award for having the highest GPA on the men's golf team. In his career, Blaine averaged 85.41 strokes per round and shot a career-low round of 77 at the University of Mount Union Purple Raider Invitational in 2015.
Fatsie, who garners his second straight Academic All-OAC accolade, is a business administration and finance double major who carries a 3.941 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and the 2017-18 recipient of the BW Academic Excellence Award. In his career, Fatsie averaged 91.64 strokes per round and shot a career-low 81 at the Mount Union Fall Invitational in 2017.
Kyle, who is named to his first Academic All-OAC team, is a business administration major who carries a 3.556 GPA. A Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar, Kyle averaged 83.78 strokes per round in his career and shot a career-low round of 71 at the Gatorade Collegiate Classic this fall.
Morris, who earns his first career Academic All-OAC honor, is a pre-physical therapy major who carries a 3.562 GPA. Academically, he is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. In his career, Morris averaged 90.17 strokes per round and shot a career-low 76 at the John DiCillo Spring Invitational in 2018.
