COLUMBIA STATION, Ohio – Junior Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) fired a career-low three-under par 69 to lead the Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team to its second straight invitational title as it captured its very own rain-shortened BW Fall Invitational by 12 strokes at the Mallard Creek Golf Club.

The invitational was originally scheduled for a two-day and 36-hole event but impending inclement weather on Sunday forced it down to a one-day and 18-hole tournament.

BW was first of four teams with a one-under par 287 on the par-72 and 6,638-yard Mallard Creek layout.   The University of Mount Union was the runner-up with 299 strokes.

In addition to Ladaika, who earned his first career medalist honor, freshman Roni Shin (Rocky River) tied for second with a career-low round of 70.  Junior Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) and senior Jack Kyle (Bay Village/Bay) each tied for seventh with rounds of 72.  Rounding out the top five was senior Hunter Miller (Frankfort/Adena), who is this week's OAC Men's Golfer of the Week) as he carded a round of 76.

Playing as individuals were seniors Brad Blaine (Brooklyn), Brandon Fatsie (North Olmsted), Adam Morris (Grafton/Midview) and Brayton Thornburg (Columbus, Ind./North), sophomore Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia) and freshmen Dylan Boff (Broadview Heights/North Royalton), Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls), Jared Green (Shelby) and Steven Newbould (Parma/Valley Forge).  Boff led the individuals with a career-low round of 75. Budner fired a career low round of 76.    Bratsch carded a career-low round of 77.  Newbould posted a career-low round of 80.  Blaine tallied a round of 82.  Thornburg had a career-low round of 83.  Fatsie carded a round of 87.  Green tallied a round of 89 and Morris had a 91.

BW is back in action on Monday, September 17 when it travels to nearby Shaker Heights to compete in the John DiCillo Fall Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Shaker Heights Country Club.
