AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University freshman men's golfer Roni Shin (Rocky River) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the first time in his career.

Shin earns his first career weekly honor as he was the co-medalist at the rain shortened Nye Intercollegiate hosted by the College of Wooster at the Wooster Country Club.  He tied for the lead with rounds of 74 and 34 for a total of 108 to help BW to a third-place finish.

This season, Shin has played in eight tournaments and 11 rounds.   He leads the Yellow Jackets with a 73.45 average.   Shin earned his first medalist honor in the fall season when won the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational.   He has fired a career-low round of 70 on two occasions.

BW returns to action on Saturday, April 20 when the team hosts the BW Spring Invitational at the Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley.
