Men’s Golf Places Third John DiCillo Fall Invitational

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio –The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished in third place at the annual John DiCillo Fall Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Shaker Heights Country Club. 

BW was third of five teams with 319 strokes on the par-70 and 6,721 Shaker Heights layout.   The University of Mount Union was the champion with 305 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep), who is the reigning Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, with a round of 75 to finish in fourth place. Freshman Roni Shin (Rocky River) fired a round of 76 to finish in a tie for fifth place.  Junior Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) carded a round of 82. Sophomore Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia) posted a round of 86.  Rounding out the top five was senior Jack Kyle (Bay Village/Bay) as he tallied a round of 87.

Playing as individuals were seniors Brad Blaine (Brooklyn), Hunter Miller (Frankfort/Adena), Brandon Fatsie (North Olmsted), Adam Morris (Grafton/Midview) and Brayton Thornburg (Columbus, Ind./North) and freshmen Dylan Boff (Broadview Heights/North Royalton), Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls), Jordan Green (Shelby) and Steven Newbould (Parma/Valley Forge) and Connor Thomas (Medina/Buckeye).  Miller led the individuals with a round of 80.  Boff carded a round of 82.  Newbould posted a round of 83.  Blaine and Thomas each had rounds of 86.  Bratsch tallied a round of 92. Fatsie, Morris and Thornburg all shot rounds of 94.  Rounding out the individuals was Green with a round of 102. 

BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, September 22-23 when it travels to Alliance to compete the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Course.
