Complete All-Region Team

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University senior center Andrew Bene (Hinckley/Medina Highland) has been named a 2009 first-team d3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region selection. Bene was named a second team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection earlier this month.

For the season, Bene led the Yellow Jackets in scoring at 18.0 points-per-game, led the OAC in rebounding at 9.8 rpg., shot a team-best 54.6 percent from the floor (178-of-326) and totaled a team-high 28 blocked shots. His18.0 ppg. also ranked third in the OAC.

Bene was named the OAC Player of the Week three times and selected to three all-tournament teams this winter, including being named the Most Valuable Player at the Otterbein "O" Club Smokey Ballenger Classic.

Bene ended his career 35th on the BW all-time scoring list with 1,009 career points and 10th on the BW rebounding list with 606 career caroms.
