Today's Contest: 
Today is fourth road game and fifth Ohio Athletic Conference game for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as it travels to Zanesville to take on Muskingum University at Zanesville High School's Sulsberger Memorial Stadium.  Last week, BW was idle In their last outing, the Yellow Jackets shut out Capital University by a final score of 51-0 on October 2.  Muskingum was also idle last week.  In their last game, the Fighting Muskies fell to #22 John Carroll University by a final score of 29-7 on October 2.

The Series: 
BW and Muskingum are meeting for the 64th time on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets hold a 48-13-2 all-time series lead, including winning 13 of the last 15 contests.  In the last 15 meetings, BW has outscored the Muskies by a margin of 448-216.  The series began in 1917 when Muskingum defeated the Yellow Jackets, 25-7, in New Concord.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert: 
Hilvert is in his fifth season at BW and has a record of  25-12 and OAC slate of 21-12. He is 91-38 in his 11th overall season and is 3-0 against Muskingum. 

Muskingum Head Coach Erik Ieuter 
Ieuter is in his fourth season at Muskingum and has a record of 11-17 and an OAC mark of 8-17.  He is 0-3 against Baldwin Wallace

Last Game vs. Muskingum -- October 19, 2019:
BW scored 42 points on 282 yards passing, 156 yards rushing and 438  total yards.  Muskingum scored 28 points on 172 yards rushing, 168 yards passing and 340 total yards. 

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: 
In week five of the season, BW scored 51 points on 312 yards rushing and 63 yards passing for a 375 yards of total offense. Capital was held scoreless on 155 yards rushing and 60 yards passing for 215 yards of total offense.

BW Leaders: 
Offensively, junior Academic All-OAC quarterback Keagan Armitage (Ashland) has completed 56 of 88 passes for 589 yards with three touchdowns.  Junior All-OAC running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) leads the OAC and is 14th in NCAA Division III with 546 yards on 8102 carries. Murray, Jr. is also the conference leader and tied for third in the NCAA with 10 touchdowns. Senior wideout Darius Stokes (Canton/GlenOak) leads the receiving corps and is ninth in the OAC in yards with 272 yards and is tied for seventh in OAC with 19 catches.  Defensively, senior Academic All-OAC linebacker Nick Pankow (Medina) tops the team and the OAC with 46 tackles and is tied for fourth in the league with five in tackles for loss. Pankow also is tied for seventh in the league with two quarterback sacks. 

Scouting the Fighting Muskies
In week five of the season, Muskingum scored seven points on 137 yards passing, 57 yards rushing and 194 total yards. John Carroll scored 29 points on 239 yards rushing, 196 yards passing and 435 total yards. 

Muskingum Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback Jordan Garrett has completed 85 of 153 passes for 1,081 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions.  Junior running back Donny Wilkinson leads the ground attack with 217 yards on 57 carries with three touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver Zuri Edmondson leads the receiving corps with 19 receptions for 342 yards with one touchdown. Defensively, sophomore defensive back Tristan Howell leads the team and is third in the OAC with 40 tackles. Howell is tied for second in league with two interceptions.

Nationally Ranked
For the first time this season and the first time since 2018, BW is ranked in the D3football.com Poll.  The Yellow Jackets enter this week's poll at 25 with 50 votes.  BW is also receiving votes in the AFCA National Poll.

43rd Lee Tressel Shrine Classic
BW will host the 43rd Lee Tressel Shrine Classic on Saturday, October 23 as the Yellow Jackets Wilmington College at 3 p.m.  BW and Wilmington battled in the 38th edition in 2015. 

Hall of Fame Game
BW will induct the newest members of its Athletics Alumni Association Hall of Fame from the Classes of 2020 and 2021 on the morning of Saturday, October 30. At halftime of the game between the Yellow Jackets at Wilmington College, the newest inductees will be introduced to the Finnie Stadium crowd.
