Two Football Student-Athletes Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Two Baldwin Wallace University football student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 7 team.

Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference center Jivan Meguerditchian (Avon Lake/St. Ignatius) and senior Academic All-OAC linebacker Nick Pankow (Medina) were named to the first-team and now advances to Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced on December 16.

Meguerditchian, who carries a 3.74 grade point average in engineering, earns his second straight All-District 7 honor.  This season, he anchored an offensive line that led the OAC in rushing with 239.4 yards-per-game, was fourth in the league in scoring with 32.3 points-per-contest and fifth in total offense with 368.6 yards-per game.  For his career, Meguerditchian played and started in all 32 games at center.  He helped the BW offense average 397.4 total yards per-game and 33.5 points-per-contest during his career.  Off the field, Meguerditchian is a two-time Academic All-OAC performer, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor society.

Pankow, who carries a 4.00 grade point average in business analytics, garners his first All-District 7 accolade.  This season, he led the team and was tied for second in the OAC in tackles with a career-high 86 and was second on the team and ninth in the league with a career-best 11.5 tackles for loss. Pankow also recorded a career-high four sacks, career-best two interceptions and forced his first career fumble. For his career, Pankow played and started in 22 games after transferring from NCAA Division II Ashland University.  He tallied 189 tackles, 19 tackles for a loss, six sacks, five pass breakups, two interceptions, forced one fumble and recovered one fumble.  Off the field, he is a two-time Academic All-OAC performer, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma and Dayton C. Miller honoraries.

BW finished the 2021 fall campaign with and 8-2 overall record and a 7-2 mark in the OAC
