No. 25 Football Defeats Wilmington in 43rd Lee Tressel Shrine Classic

BEREA, Ohio – The No. 25 nationally-ranked Baldwin Wallace University football team defeated Wilmington College for the 12 straight time as it won an Ohio Athletic Conference and 43rd Lee Tressel Shrine Classic game by a final score of 41-7 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW (6-1, 5-1 OAC) improves to 19-3 in the all-time series with Wilmington (0-7, 0-6 OAC) and now have outscored the Quakers 532-156 in the last 12 meetings.

Senior All-OAC defensive lineman Sekou Imani (Dover) was selected as Yellow Jacket Shrine Classic Player of the Game as he recorded six tackles, four quarterback sacks, forced two fumbles, and recovered one fumble.  Senior defensive back Tre'Quez Parks was named the Wilmington Shriners' Player of the Game.

Offensively for BW, junior Academic All-OAC quarterback Keagan Armitage (Ashland) completed 7-of-11 passes for 158 yards with two touchdowns. Junior running All-OAC running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) led the ground game as he rushed for a career-high and game-best 174 yards on 31 carries with three touchdowns.  Murray, Jr. now has an OAC-leading 15 touchdowns.  Junior wide out Darius Stokes (Canton/GlenOak) led the air attack as he caught two passes for 87 yards with a career-long 68-yard touchdown.  Defensively, senior Academic All-OAC linebacker Nick Pankow (Medina) recorded a team-high 10 tackles and recorded two sacks, one forced fumble and one pass breakup.

The Quakers were led by sophomore quarterback Derek Larimer as he completed 13-of-19 passes for 125 yards.  Freshman running back Ben Hobbs led the rushing attack with 52 yards on four carries. Senior wide out Ammer Jackson led the receiving unit with five catches for 64 yards.  Defensively, Parks tallied a game-high 20 tackles.
