Today's Contest: 
Today is third home and sixth Ohio Athletic Conference game for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as hosts Wilmington College in the 43rd Lee Tressel Shrine Classic.  Last week, BW picked up its fifth win of the season as it knocked off Muskingum University by a final score of 49-10.  Wilmington fell to Marietta College by final score of 35-7 last Saturday. 

The Series: 
BW and Wilmington have met 21 times on the gridiron with the Yellow Jackets holding an 18-3 series lead, including 11 straight victories. During the 10 game winning streak, BW has outscored the Quakers, 494-149. The series began in 1922 with Wilmington defeating the Yellow Jackets, 16-7, in Berea. The last Wilmington win came in 2008 when it beat the Yellow Jackets, 27-21, in Wilmington.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert: 
Hilvert is in his fifth season at BW and has a record of  26-12 and OAC slate of 22-12. He is 92-38 in his 11th overall season and is 3-0 against Wilmington. 

Wilmington Head Coach Bryan Moore 
Moore is in his fifth season at Wilmington and has a record of 8-33 and an OAC mark of 3-31.  He is 0-3 vs. Baldwin Wallace.  

Last Game vs. Wilmington -- October 26,  2019:
BW scored 72 points on 313 yards rushing, 254 yards passing and 567  total yards.  Wilmington scored nine points on 87 yards passing, 66  yards rushing and 153 total yards. 

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: 
In week six of the season, BW scored 49 points on 364 yards rushing and 109 yards passing for a 473 yards of total offense. Muskingum scored 10 points on 132 yards passing and 18 yards rushing for 150 yards of total offense.

BW Leaders: 
Offensively, junior Academic All-OAC quarterback Keagan Armitage (Ashland) has completed 62 of 96 passes for 698 yards with four touchdowns.  Junior All-OAC running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) is second in the OAC and is 21st in NCAA Division III with 677 yards on 119 carries. Murray, Jr. is also the conference leader and tied for fourth in the NCAA with 12 touchdowns. Senior wideout Darius Stokes (Canton/GlenOak) leads the receiving corps and is eighth in the OAC in yards with 339 yards on 23 catches. Defensively, senior Academic All-OAC linebacker Nick Pankow (Medina) tops the team and the OAC with 54 tackles and is ninth in the league with five in tackles for loss. 

Scouting the Quakers
In week six of the season, Wilmington scored seven points on 216 yards passing, 26 yards rushing and 242 total yards. Marietta scored 35 points on 201 yards passing, 163 yards rushing and 364 total yards. 

Wilmington Leaders
Offensively, sophomore quarterback Derek Larimer has completed 102 of 172 passes for 1,064 yards with six touchdowns and five interceptions. Sophomore running back Ben Hobbs leads the ground attack with 175 yards on 39 carries with two touchdowns. Senior All-OAC wide receiver Itika Wynn, Jr. leads the receiving corps with 26 receptions for 324 yards with one touchdown. Defensively, sophomore defensive back Tre'Quez Parks leads the team with 38 tackles. 

Nationally Ranked
For the second straight week, BW is ranked in the D3football.com Poll.  The Yellow Jackets enter this week's poll at 25 with 50 votes. BW is also receiving votes in the AFCA National Poll. 

Shrine Classic Players of the Game
At the conclusion of the 43rd Lee Tressel Shrine Classic, a player from BW and Wilmington will be selected as the players of the game. The Yellow Jackets and Quakers met in the 38th installment in 2015.

Hall of Fame Game
BW will induct the newest members of its Athletics Alumni Association Hall of Fame from the Classes of 2020 and 2021 on the morning of Saturday, October 30. At halftime of the game between the Yellow Jackets at Marietta College, the newest inductees will be introduced to the Finnie Stadium crowd.

Cuyahoga Gold Bowl Game
BW and John Carroll University will meet for the 33rd time in the Battle for the Gold Bowl Trophy in the regular season finale on November 13. John Carroll has won the last seven contests. The last Yellow Jacket victory came in the 2012 season when BW posted a 32-28 victory in University Heights. The Yellow Jackets scored 15 points in the final nine minutes to rally for the victory.
