ADA, Ohio - The No. 3 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University baseball team opened Ohio Athletic Conference play with a doubleheader sweep against Ohio Northern University by scores of 7-5 and 9-2 at Wander Field.

BW (15-3, 2-0 OAC) opened conference play by jumping out to a 4-1 lead in Game 1 and held on to victory despite four more Ohio Northern (6-10, 0-2) runs. The second game of the day did not look good early for the Brown and Gold as the Polar Bears scored two in the first frame and held BW scoreless through the fifth. However, a four-run sixth, a three-run seventh, and a run in each of the last two innings would lead the Yellow Jackets to a series sweep.
