Women's Track and Field Team in Fifth After Day One of OAC Championships

MUSKINGUM, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field team is in fifth place after day one of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Muskingum University on the Johnson Family Track.

BW is in fifth of 10 teams with 23 points. Ohio Northern University sits in first with a team score of 63.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior thrower Kasey Clouse (Norwalk/Western Reserve) as she earned All-OAC honors in the discus throw with a career-best mark of 144 feet five inches.

In addition to Clouse in the discus event, freshman thrower Brooke Buckhannon (Collins/Western Reserve) finished fifth with a throw of 126' 4.75''. Senior jumper Erin Kasper (Amherst/Marion Steele) placed fourth in the long jump with career-best leap of 17'10.75''. In the javelin event, junior thrower Madison Phillips (Norwalk/St. Paul) finished seventh with a mark of 94' 3.75''.

In the 100-meter hurdles prelims senior hurdler Lyndsey Armstrong (Ashtabula) recorded the fastest time with a career-best finish of 15.17 seconds. In the 10,000-meter run freshman distance runner Bella Pendola (Warsaw/River View) finished seventh with a time of 40:37.65.

In relay action, the 3,200-meter relay team of freshman distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit), freshman distance runner Katie Fowler (Mount Vernon), freshman distance runner Annie Quisno (Port Clinton/Oak Harbor), senior sprinter Jasmine Moore (Cleveland Heights), freshman distance runner Hannah Allenson (Lakewood) and freshman distance runner Jordan Dascani (Toledo/Springfield) finished seventh with a season-best time of 10:04.75.
