Women's Indoor Track and Field Team Participates at Hillsdale College Classic

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's indoor track and field team competed at the unscored two-day Hillsdale College Wide Classic in the Margot V. Biermann Athletic Center.

BW was led by sophomore distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) as she earned a first place finish in the mile and a sixth place finish in the 3,000-meter championship race. Brennan finished with career-best times of 5:23.37 in the mile and 10:25.77 in the 3,000-meter run.  

In addition to Brennan, freshman distance runner Bella Pendola (Warsaw/River View) placed fourth in the 3,000-meter run and eighth in the 800-meter run.  Pendola finished with career-best times of 10:50.37 in the 3,000-meter run and 2:29.36l in the 800-meter run.

In the field events, senior All-American jumper Erin Kasper (Amherst/Marion Steele) placed second in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet 5 inches and freshman thrower Brooke Buckhannon (Collins/Western Reserve) finished 10th in the shot put with a career-best toss of 39'10.5''.  

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, February 10 when they host the annual Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Field House. Field events begin at 4 p.m. and running events start at 5 p.m.
