Today's Game --  The Baldwin Wallace University football team plays host to Muskingum University on Homecoming.  BW lost its second straight game to No. 8 nationally-ranked John Carroll last Saturday by a final score of 45-7.   Muskingum picked up its first win of the season with a 36-20 home victory against Capital.

Series Notes --  The Yellow Jackets and Fighting Muskies have met 58 times on the gridiron with BW holding a 42-13-2 series lead. The Yellow Jackets have won the last eight meetings and BW has outscored Muskingum 237-97 during that span.  The last Fighting Muskie win came in 2005 by a 16-10 count in New Concord. The series began in 1917 when Muskingum defeated the Yellow Jackets, 25-7.

Last Meeting -- The last time BW and the Fighting Muskies met on September 28 2013, the Yellow Jackets defeated Muskingum 23-13 on Community and Family Day. BW outgained the Fighting Muskies, 278-241, in total offense.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week three of the season, BW scored seven points on 59 yards rushing, 161 yards passing and 220 total yards.  John Carroll scored 45 points on 125 yards rushing, 384 yards passing and 509 total yards.  

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback Tyler Moeglin (Canton/St. Thomas Aquinas) has completed 45 of 74 passes for 537 yards with three TDs and three interceptions. He has also rushed for 146 yards on 42 attempts with two TDs. Junior running back Issac Reed III (Lehigh Acres, Fla./Lehigh) leads the team in rushing with 241 yards on 54 attempts with two TDs.  Senior wide receiver Kyle Dunne (Rocky River) leds the receiving corps with 12 catches for 188 yards and one TD.  Senior Michael Slack (Casselberry, Fla./Pine Castle Christian) is second with 11 catches for 150 yards and two TDs. Junior wide receiver Mike Waggoner (Stow/ Stow-Munroe Falls) has eight catches for 104 yards.  

Defensively, senior linebacker Dan O'Brien (Warren/Howland) leads the team with 22 tackles, including three for a loss.  He has also added a safety, pass break up and a QB hurry.  Senior defensive back Austin Cordova (Perry) is second with 21, including a game-high 11 last week, and has a pass break up. Senior defensive back Devonte Greer (Columbus/Mifflin) and junior linebacker Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) are tied for third with 18 tackles 

Scouting The Fighting Muskies
In week three of the season, Muskingum scored 36 points on 416 yards rushing, 58 yards passing and 474 total yards. Capital scored 20 points on 169 yards rushing, 175 yards passing and 344 total yards. 

Fighting Muskie Statistical Leaders
Offensively, junior QB Cody Williams has completed completed 18 of 47 passes for 218 yards with one TD and four interceptions.  He has also rushed for 149 rushing yards on 43 attempts with two TDs.  Junior running back Melvin Smith leds the team in rushing with 200 yards on 42 attempts with one TD. Senior wide receiver Marvin Morris leds the receiving corps with four catches for 74 yards and one score

Defensively, junior linebacker Zach Barry leads the team with 29 tackles and tied for team lead with one fumble recovery.  Junior linebacker Chaney Fulton and senior linebacker Damond Goggins are tied for second with 24 stops.
