BEREA, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University senior defensive end Luke Riemenschneider (Rocky River) has been selected to the 2014 OhioCollegeFootball.com preseason All-Ohio Division III second-team. He is expected to be one of the top defensive linemen in the Ohio Athletic Conference and North Region of Division III.
Riemenschneider, a second-team All-OAC selection in 2013, led all Yellow Jacket linemen last season with 63 tackles, including 11.5 stops for loss and 5.5 quarterback sacks. He will enter his senior campaign with 88 career stops, 14.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, an interception and one forced and one recovered fumble.
"We hope that this selection serves as even more inspiration to Luke to have a great senior season and continue to be a leader on our team and one of the top defensive linemen in the OAC," said 13th-year Head Coach John Snell, who has a 77-45 career mark. "The past two seasons, Luke has continued to improve and become more dominant each season. We hope this season will be his best yet."
The Yellow Jackets open the 2014 season on Saturday, September 13 when they host Bluffton University on Family & Community Day at The George Finnie Stadium at 2 p.m. The annual Family & Community Day picnic will take place at 12:00 noon in the North Quad on the BW campus.
