ACADEMIC MAJOR: Exercise Science/ Pre-Physical Therapy
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Tyler Byrdorff played his third season of football at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015 and earned his second varsity letter.
Tyler also will compete in his third season of indoor (winter) and outdoor (spring) track and hopes to earn his third letter. He is a returning NCAA Division III national qualifier in the throwing events.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE: Tyler carries a 3.219 grade point average.
ATHLETICS HONORS: As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Tyler earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors in indoor track in the 35-pound weight throw (third) and outdoors in the discus (second), hammer (second) and shot put (third). He also placed 14th at the 2014 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship Meet in the hammer.
FOOTBALL INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2012-2013, Tyler played his first season of football and earned a certificate of participation. He split time between the varsuty and junior varsity teams at linebacker. He played in three varsity games and had two tackles. BW finished 7-3 overall.
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Tyler played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He was the starting middle linebacker. Tyler started all 10 games and recorded 39 total tackles, including one quarterback sack and four tackles for loss, and recovered a fumble. BW finished 6-4 overall.
As a junior in 2014-2015, Tyler played his third season of football and earned his second letter. He started at MLB, was second on the team in tackles with 73, including five tackles for loss, 1.5 QB sacks, three pass breakups and one recovered fumble. BW finished 5-5 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Tyler grew up in Painesville, Ohio and attended Riverside High School.
Tyler played football for four years and earned three letters. Tyler ran track for three years and lettered three times.
In football, Tyler was tabbed as a two-time first-team All-Premier Conference selection. He also was an All-Lake All-County selection and an honorable mention All-District pick. Tyler also received a Scholar-Athlete award from the National Football Foundation.
