BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Luke Riemenschneider played four seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University (2011-2014) and earned three varsity letters. He was a multiple award-winner as a senior in the fall of 2014.

In addition, Luke played his second season of lacrosse in the spring of 2015 and earned his second letter. He has one more season of lacrosse eligibility remaining in the springv of 2016.

FOOTBALL HONORS:   As a senior in 2014-2015, Luke was named first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference, as BW's Ray E. Watts Most Valuable Defensive Player and as its Outstanding Defensive Lineman award winner. He also was the Frank Roppolo BW Homecoming Player of the Game and the OAC Defensive Player of the Week versus Muskingum University. Luke also earned OAC Defensive Player of the Week honors at Marietta College. He was named to the Ohiofootball.com web site as All-Ohio Division III preseason second-team.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Luke earned second-team All-OAC honors. He also was awarded OAC Defensive Player of the Week versus Ohio Northern University.

FOOTBALL RECORD-SETTER:  As a senior in 2014-2015, Luke returned a fumble a Finnie Stadium-record 86 yards for a touchdown in a 35-7 Homecoming win versus Muskingum University on Oct. 4, 2014. His 138 fumble return yards in 2014 set a single-season school-record.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:   Luke played four years of football and earned three varsity letters. He started for two-plus seasons at defensive end, was one of the top down linemen in the OAC and North Region of Division III, ended All-OAC honors twice, including being a first-team pick as a senior, and led the Yellow Jackets to a 25-15 record. Luke served as a team captain as a senior.

Individually, Luke had 149 career tackles, 23 total tackles for loss and 11 total quarterback sacks. He also forced two fumbles and recovered four, had 10 QB hurries and deflected four passes. He also scored two touchdowns, one on a school-record 86-yard fumble return and another on a 26-yard interception return.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Luke played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation. He appeared in three varsity games at defensive end, but saw the majority of his playing time on the junior varsity defensive line. BW finished 8-2 overall and was ranked 24th in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Division III national poll.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Luke played his second season football and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in all 10 games at defensive end and split time in the DL rotation. Luke had 25 total tackles, including three for loss and one quarterback sack. He also forced one fumble. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Luke played his third season of football and earned his second letter. He started at DE and finished fourth on the team with 63 total tackles, including a team-leading 11.5 for loss and 5.5 QB sacks. He also deflected one pass, forced five QB hurries and recovered a fumble. He was the OAC Defensive Player of the Week on October 12, 2013 for his efforts in a 38-17 Homecoming win versus Ohio Northern University. Luke earned second-team All-OAC honors.  BW finished 6-4 overall.

As a senior in 2014-2015, Luke played his fourth season of football and earned his third letter. He started at DE and was a team captain. Luke was named as the Frank Roppolo BW Homecoming Player of the Game for his efforts in a 35-7 win versus Muskingum University on Oct. 4, 2014.  In that game, he returned a fumble a Finnie Stadium-record 86 yards for a touchdown. He subsequently was named as the OAC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 6. He also earned OAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts in a 40-33 win at Marietta College on Oct. 11. In that game, he intercepted a Marietta screen pass and ran it back 26 yards for the game-winning TD with 1:22 left in the game. He also had a career-high 11 tackles. Luke was a first-team All-OAC selection. During the preseason, he was named to the Ohiofootball.com web site All-Ohio Division III  second-team. He had 61 tackles to top all linemen, including team-highs of 8.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 QB sacks. He also forced one fumble and recovered three. His 138 fumble return yards set a school single-season record. Luke earned first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors, was the BW Ray E. Watts Most Valuable Defensive Lineman and its Outstanding Defensive Lineman award winner. BW finished 5-5 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Luke Riemenschneider grew up in Rocky River, Ohio and graduated from Rocky River High School.  

Luke played four seasons of football and earned two varsity letters, four seasons of hockey and earned two letters, and four seasons of lacrosse and earned four letters.

As a junior in 2009-2010, Luke was a second-team All-West Shore Conference pick in football.  As a senior in 2010-11, Luke garnered first-team All-WSC mention in football and all-region honorable mention in lacrosse.

THE RIEMENSCHNEIDER FAMILY CONNECTION:  Luke is a member of one of BW's most revered family's.  His father, Dirk '88, was an All-American offensive tackle and his uncle Chris '87, was an All-American defensive end.  His great grandfather started the Reiemenschneider-Bach Institute of Music at BW, which is renown around the world as one of the best and has the foremost holdings of Bach in the Western Hemisphere.  His gradfather, Walter '54 was an extremely successful attorney who owned his own practice.
