ACADEMIC MAJOR: Exercise Science/ Teaching & Coaching

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Michael Slack played four seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University (2011-2014). The two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete and a three-year letterman. 

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Mike carried a 3.85 grade point average, was a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. He also was a member of the Alpha Lambda, Chi Sigma Alpha and Dayton C. Miller honor societies.

As a junior in 2013-2014 and senior in 2014-2015, Michael earned Academic All-OAC honors.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a junior in 2013-2014, Mike was named as the OAC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Bluffton University on September 14, 2013.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:  Mike Slack was a four-year contributor to the BW football program and a three-year starter. As a freshman, sophomore and junior, he split time at quarterback. As a senior, Mike started at wide receiver. He helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 26-14 record with a .650 winning percentage.

Individually, Mike played in 25 games at QB and completed 49-of-77 passes for 703 yards with five touchdowns and seven interceptions. As a runner, he carried the ball 107 times for 471 yards and seven TD's. He also caught 16 passes for 205 yards with two TD's. Overall, he accounted for 14 TD's.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Mike played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation. The quarterback saw playing time in one varsity game and on the junior varsity team.  Mike rushed the ball once for three yards. BW finished 8-2 overall and was ranked No.24 in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) national poll.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Mike played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in seven games as the "wildcat" QB and alternated with senior All-OAC signal-caller Ryan O'Rourke '13.  He also held the ball for All-OAC placekicker Chris Mohler '14. Mike completed three of six passes for 32 yards and ran the ball 37 times for 194 yards with three touchdowns. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Mike played his third season of football and earned his second letter. He alternated at QB with junior transfer Kyle Ohradzansky '15. Mike appeared in nine games and completed 45 of 70 passes for 64.3 percent with 637 yards, five TDs and seven interceptions. He also ran the ball 67 times for 268 yards and four TDs. He was named as the OAC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in a season-opening 52-21 win at Bluffton University on September 14, 2013. In that game, Mike completed 12-of-15 passes for 213 yards and two TD's and ran for a game-high 102 yards in 16 attempts with a TD. For his efforts both on the field and in the classroom, he earned Academic All-OAC honors. BW finished 6-4 overall.

As a senior in 2014-2015, Mike played in his fourth season of football and earned his third varsity letter. He moved from QB to wide receiver and started several games. He earned Academic All-OAC honors for the second straight season. He caught 16 passes for 205 yards and two TD's, ran the ball twice for six yards and threw a WR-option pass for a 34-yard gain.  BW finished 5-5 overall.

HOMETOWN &  HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Michael Slack grew up in Casselberry, Florida and graduated from Pine Castle Christian Academy.

Mike competed in four seasons of football earning four varsity letters and four seasons of basketball earning three varsity letters.

In football, Mike was the FACA 1B Player of the Year in 2010 and was honorable mention All-Florida for three seasons from 2008-10.
