BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Nolan Sordyl played four seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University (2011-2014). The three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete earned four varsity letters.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Nolan carried a 3.723 grade point average, was a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. He also was a member of the Alpha Lambda and Chi Alpha Sigma honoraries.

ACADEMIC ALL-OAC HONORS:  Nolan was a three-time Academic All-OAC selection.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a junior in 2013-2014, Nolan was named as the BW Bob Packard Most Outstanding Running Back Award winner at the season-ending banquet. He also was the 2013 Dick Miller Community Day Most Outstanding Player of the Game in a win versus Muskingum University.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Nolan Sordyl was a key four-year varsity contributor at running back. The three-time Academic All-OAC student-athlete helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 26-14 record with a .650 winning percentage.

Individually, Nolan played in 27 varsity games and carried the ball 153 times for 733 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also caught six passes for 35 yards, returned two punts for 15 yards and four kickoffs for 32 yards and made one tackle.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Nolan played his first season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He played in five games at running back and was utilized mostly in short yardage situations near the goal line. He carried the ball 14 times for 50 yards and four TD's. He also caught two passes for 15 yards. BW finished 8-2 overall and was ranked 24th in the final AFCA (Ameriocan Football Coaches Association) Division III national poll.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Nolan played his second season of football and earned his second varsity letter. He played in all 10 games at RB and carried the ball 34 times for 147 yards with four TD's. He also had two receptions for eight yards. For his efforts in the classroom and on the football field, he was named Academic All-OAC. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Nolan played third season of football.  He appeared in nine games and split time at running back with Issac Reed '14. He was named as the 2013 BW Dick Miller Community Day Player of the Game when he ran for a career-high 99 yards in 20 attempts in a 23-13 win versus Muskingum University on September 28. He also ran for a career-high 193 yards in 23 attempts in a 28-12 win versus Capital University on October 26. Nolan ran for a total of 532 yards and five touchdowns. He earned Academic All-OAC honors for the second straight season. BW finished 6-4 overall.

As a senior in 2014-2015 Nolan played his fourth season of football and earned his fourth varsity letter. He was named as an Academic All-OAC player for the third time. An injury limited Nolan to just three games with three carries and one reception.  BW finished 5-5 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Nolan Sordyl grew up in Gurnee, Illinois and graduated from Warren Township High School.

Nolan played four years of football and two years of baseball. He earned two varsity letters in football.

In football, Nolan earned many accolades as a senior. He recieved two awards from his conference that included being named to the first-team All-North Suburban Conference as he recieved the NSC Sportsmanship award. Also following his senior season, Nolan was named as a Chicago Sun-Times All-County Honorable Mention performer. His senior year stats that helped earn him these awards includes 989 yards rushing for the season with an average of 7.3 yards per carry. He also had seven rushing touchdowns which led the team. On kick returns, Nolan averaged 27.8 yards per return. Nolan was a also named player-of-the-week three times during his senior season.
