Today's Game --  The Baldwin Wallace University football team opens its 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference schedule when it hosts Ohio Northern University on the Tressel Field inside the Geroge Finnie Stadium on the 37th Annual Lee Tressel Shrine Classic.  BW opened the season last Saturday with a 32-20 win against Bluffton at home.   Ohio Northern opened the season on Septenber 6 with a 31-24 victory at Washington (Mo.) University.

Series Notes --  The Yellow Jackets and Polar Bears have meet 39 times on the gridiron with BW holding a 27-11-1 series lead. The series began in 1923 with Ohio Northern beating the Yellow Jackets, 20-13, in Berea.  A year ago, BW beat the Polar Bears, 37-16, in Berea for its third straight win in the series. The last Ohio Northern win came in 2010 when it beat the Yellow Jackets 41-21, in Ada.

Last Meeting -- The last time BW and Bluffton met on October 12, 2013,  the Yellow Jackets defeated the Polar Bears by a final score of 38-17.  The game was tied at 7-7 after the first quarter.  BW led 19-7 at the half and 31-10 after three qurters.   The Yellow Jackets outgained Ohio Northern, 478-405, in total offense.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week one of the season, BW scored 32 points on 217 yards rushing, 237 yards passing and 454 total yards.   Bluffton scored 20 points on 36 yards rushing, 222 yards passing and 258 total yards.

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback Tyler Moeglin (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) has completed 18 of 24 passes for 237 yards with one TD and one interception. He also rushed for 22 yards on 11 attempts. Junior running back Issac Reed III (Lehigh Acres, Fla./Lehigh) leads the team in rushing with 137 yards on 25 carries with one TD.  Junior wide receiver Mike Waggoner (Stow/ Stow-Munroe Falls) leads the receiving corps with five cathces for 76 yards.  Senior wide receiver Michael Slack (Casselberry, Fla./ Pine Castle Christian) caught three passes for 30 yards and one TD.

Defensively, senior linebacker Dan O'Brien (Warren/ Howland) leads the team with 12 tackles, including three for a loss.  He has also added a safety and a pass break up.  Senior defensive back Devonte Greer (Columbus/Mifflin) is second with seven tackles.  Senior defensive back Kevin Krakora (Avon) is thid in tackles with six and leads the team with one interception.

Scouting The Polar Bears
In week one of the season, Ohio Northern scored 31 points on 272 yards rushing, 220 yards passing and 492 total yards. Washington scored 24 points a point on 120 yards rushing, 228 yards passing and 348 total yards. 

Polar Bear Statistical Leaders
Offensively, senior QB 

Senior QB Patrick Angle has completed 18-of-24 passes for 220 yards with one TD and one interception.  He also rushed for 75 yards on 14 attempts with two TDs. Junior running back Justin Magazine leds the team in rushing with 154 yards on 28 carriers with a TD. Junior wide receiver Devon Price leds the receving corps with eight catches for 130 yards and a TD.  He also had five carries for 19 yards and ran back three kickoffs for 71 yards. 

Defensively, senior linebacker Dillon Kwiat leads the team with 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss. Junior defensive back Melvin Williams is second with eight tackles and a pass breakup.
