Today's Game --  The Baldwin Wallace University football team travels to Bexley for an OAC game agaisnt Capital University.  BW ended a three-game winning streak last Saturday with a 20-9 defeat at home to Otterbein.  Capital has lost five straight games, including a 71-7 loss at No.6-ranked John Carroll University last Saturday.  

Series Notes --  The Yellow Jackets and Crusaders have met 45 times on the gridiron with BW holding a 34-11 series lead. The series began in 1928 when Capital defeated BW, 19-0, in Columbus. A year ago, the Yellow Jackets beat the Crusaders, 28-12, for its second straight win in the series. Capital last beat BW, 14-11, in Berea two seasons ago.

Last Meeting -- The last time the Yellow Jackets and the Crusaders met on October 26, 2013, BW beat Capital by a final score of 28-12.  The Yellow Jackets outgained the Crusaders in total offense by a count of 383-312.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week seven of the season, BW scored nine points on 124 yards rushing, 170 yards passing and 294 total yards.  Otterbein scored 20 points on 91 yards rushing, 243 yards passing and 334 total yards.  

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback Tyler Moeglin (Canton/St. Thomas Aquinas) has completed 89 of 159 passes for 1,088 yards with 10 TDs and six interceptions. He has also rushed for 396 yards on 80 attempts with a team-leading five TDs. Junior running back Issac Reed III (Lehigh Acres, Fla./Lehigh) leads the team in rushing with582 yards in 112 attempts with three TDs. Senior wide receiver Kyle Dunne (Rocky River) leds the receiving corps with 32 catches for 435 yards and a team-high six TDs. Senior Michael Slack (Casselberry, Fla./Pine Castle Christian) is second with 16 catches for 205 yards and two TDs. Freshman Joe Kijauskas (Chesterland/West Geuaga) is third with 12 receptions for 158 yards and two TDs.

Defensively, senior linebacker Dan O'Brien (Warren/Howland) leads the team with 54 tackles. He has also added a safety, two pass break ups and two QB hurries. Junior linebacker Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) is second with 53 stops, including four tackles for loss and three pass break ups.  Senior defensive lineman Luke Riemenschneider (Rocky River) and senior defensive back Austin Cordova (Perry) are tied for third with 47 tackles.

Scouting The Crusaders
In week seven of the season, Capital scored seven points on 178 yards rushing, 44 yards passing and 222 total yards. John Carroll scored 71 points on 153 yards rushing, 300 yards passing and 453 total yards. 

Crusader Statistical Leaders
Offensively, freshman QB Nick Iske thas completed 39 of 98 passes for 485 yards with two TDs and six interceptions. He is second in rushing with 343 yards on 115 attempts with six TDs. Sophomore running back Bret Walton leds the team in rushing with 737 rushing yards on 113 attempts with a team-leading eight TDs  Junior wide receiver Jake Skeltonleads the receiving corps with 17 receptions for 232 yards and three TDs

Defensively, freshman free safety Joe Rodriguez leads the team with 43 tackles and two interceptions, including one he ran back 93 yards for a TD. Sophomore strong safety Jimmy Curtis is second with 38 stops, one interception and a team-leading four pass breakups. Junior linebacker Bryan Bokovitz is third with 30 tackles.
