Today's Game --  The Baldwin Wallace University football team plays its final regular season home game as it hosts No. 3 nationally-ranked University of Mount Union on Seniors' and Parents' Day.  BW beat Capital 48-14 last Saturday on the road.   Mount Union won its eighth straight game by beating Otterbein 66-7 last Saturday.

Series Notes --  The Yellow Jackets and Purple Raiders have met 53 times on the gridiron with Mount Union holding an 30-21-1 all-time series lead, including 19 straight. The series began in 1896 with BW defeating Mount Union, 10-0, in Alliance.  A year ago, the Purple Raiders beat the Yellow Jackets, 30-7, in Alliance. The last BW win came in 1994 when it beat Mount Union, 23-10, in Alliance.

Last Meeting -- The last time the Yellow Jackets and the Purple Raiders met on November 9, 2013, Mount Union beat BW by a final score of 30-7.  The Purple Raiders outgained the Yellow Jackets in total offense by a count of 435-230.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week eight of the season, BW scored 48 points on 270 yards rushing, 297 yards passing and a season-high 567 total yards.  Capital scored 14 points on 322 yards rushing, 40 yards passing and 362 total yards.  

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback Tyler Moeglin (Canton/St. Thomas Aquinas) has completed 100 of 174 passes for 1,260 yards with 12 TDs and six interceptions. He is second with 436 rushing yards on 88 attempts with a team-leading seven TDs. Moeglin is tied for the team lead in scoring with 48 points.  Junior running back Issac Reed III (Lehigh Acres, Fla./Lehigh) leads the team in rushing with 779 yards on 124 attempts for a 6.3-yard average per carry with three TDs. Senior wide receiver Kyle Dunne (Rocky River) leds the receiving corps with 37 grabs for 491 yards and seven TD's and a team-high tying 48 points.  Senior Michael Slack (Casselberry, Fla./Pine Castle Christian) is second with 16 catches for 205 yards and a two TDs.  Freshman Joe Kijauskas (Chesterland/West Geuaga) is third with 14 receptions for 179 yards and two TDs.

Defensively, senior linebacker Dan O'Brien (Warren/Howland) and junior linebacker Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) lead the team with 62 tackles. Senior defensive lineman Luke Riemenschneider (Rocky River) is third with 53 stops and senior defensive back Austin Cordova (Perry) is fourth with 51 tackles.

Scouting The Purple Raiders
In week eight of the season, Mount Union scored 66 points on 351 yards rushing, 214 yards passing and 565 total yards. Otterbein scored seven points on 11 yards rushing, 63 yards passing and 74 total yards. 

Purple Raider Statistical Leaders
Offensively, senior All-American and Academic All-American QB Kevin Burke has completed 125 of 189 passes for 2,130 yards with 24 TDs and only one interception. He also has rushed for 284 rushing yards on 54 attempts with seven TDs. Sophomore running back Bradley Mitchell leds the team in rushing with 806 yards on 97 attempts with 14 TDs. Junior wide receiver Taurice Scott leads the receiving corps with 38 grabs for 592 yards and eight TDs.  Junior Roman Namdar is second with 37 receptions for 780 yards and nine TDs

Defensively, junior free safety Alex Kocheff  and junior linebacker Hank Spencer lead the team with 31 tackles. Senior defensive back Cody Pogorelc is third with 27 stops and junior defensive lineman Tom Lally with 26.
