BEREA, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference defensive end Luke Riemenschneider (Rocky River) has been named the OAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week for the second consecutive week and for the third time in his career.

Riemenschneider made an impact on a game for the second straight week as he scored his second career defensive touchdown.   He intercepted a Marietta College pass and returned it 26 yards for the game-winning touchdown with 1:22 remaining to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 40-33 come from behind win.  Riemenschneider had a career-high 11 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. 

Last week, he returned a fumble for a The George Finnie Stadium-record 86 yards to lead BW to a 35-7 win against Muskingum University on Homecoming.

This season, Riemenschneider is fourth on the team and first among defensive lineman with 34 tackles. He is tied for the team lead with 1.5 quarterback sacks.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action this Saturday, October 18 when they travel to Wilmington for an OAC game against Wilmington College at 1:30 p.m.  Fans can follow all of the action live at http://tinyurl.com/wilmingtonlive.   The next home game is on Saturday, October 25 when BW hosts Otterbein University on Professor Appreciation Day at 1:30 p.m.
