Sharon B. Hosko excelled in both volleyball and softball while a Baldwin Wallace undergraduate and graduated in the spring of 1984.

In volleyball, Sharon played and lettered all four years and was the co-captain of the team as a senior.  The scholar student-athlete ended her college career with 634 kills and an 87 percent spiking percentage. She was a huge factor on the 1983 team that compiled a 34-12 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament in Occidental, California.

During her four seasons on the varsity, BW compiled an outstanding, 118-50 record with a .702 winning percentage, including a school-record 41 wins and a 41-8 mark in 1982. Individually, Sharon was named to the AIAW (Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women) Collegiate Division III All-Ohio team.

Sharon also was an outstanding softball player and played for three years, lettered each season and served as a team co-captain as a senior.

Today, Sharon is the manager of Brecksville (Ohio) Nature Center.  She has worked with Cleveland Metroparks since 1987, first as a seasonal naturalist, and then a naturalist at the Rocky River Nature Center. She assuming her current position in 1996.

Sharon has continued her connection with her alma mater as an adjunct instructor in both biology and health and physical education (HPE).  As a student, she served as a hall director and a biology lab assistant.
