John Terakedis, Jr. '67 graduated from Baldwin Wallace in 1967 and was nducted in to the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1987.

John was one of Baldwin-Wallace's finest football players. Known for his quick feet, Terakedis averaged 7.5 yards per carry in 1966 and went on to earn All-OAC honors, as well as receiving the Cleveland Touchdown Club's Outstanding Local College Player award that season.

A native of Denison, Terakedis was a three-year letter winner and two-time Outstanding Offensive Back award winner a B-W. In his first game as a halfback at Baldwin-Wallace, John gained 169 yards on only five carries while also passing for 109 yards, and he only played the first half.

In addition to his exploits at halfback, John also led the Jackets in kickoff and punt returns. He was a very versatile threat, one who exemplifies the overall coaching philosophy of offense at B-W. John won the Outstanding Freshman award in both football and track, evidence of the future for this dedicated athlete. He also became an outstanding student in the classroom.

Terakedis was one outstanding example of what the late Lee Tressel looked for in a football player at B-W. John was hardworking, self-motivated and was very intelligent. He, like his coach, knew academics came first at B-W. But John also knew that despite strong academic standards at B-W, that he could succeed by working hard and believing in his abilities.

After graduating from Baldwin- Wallace in 1967, Terakedis attended the Harvard Law School and graduated in 1970. Since that time, John has been practicing law in the Columbus area. He and his wife Sharon are the parents of three children, Troy, Leigh Ann, and Lauren.
