Jerry Suess '56 graduated from BW in 1956 and was inducted into the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1991.

Suess distinguished himself both on the basketball court and baseball field during his days at B-W. Suess earned four varsity letters in each sport.

In basketball, Suess was a three-year starter and four-year letter winner. He scored 1,111 points during his career and led the team in scoring in 1953 and 1955. He also was named to the Alpha Tau Omega All-American team in 1955.

On the baseball field, Suess was an exceptional athlete and was drafted by the Kansas City Athletic baseball organization.

Following graduation, Suess was a head basketball and baseball coach and assistant football coach at various schools. While at Greenford High School, Suess's teams won two Inter County League basketball championships. He is also a member of the Boardman High School Hall of Fame.

Suess and his wife Antionette have two sons and a daughter, Jerry, David and Debra. They reside in Youngstown.
