Dave Tressel '73 graduated from BW in 1973 and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.

Tressel received his undergraduate degree from BW in 1973 and his Master of Arts in Education in 1978.  He was one of the most outstanding educators in Northeast Ohio. Today, he continues to serve the Berea City School District as a member of the Board of Education.

While at BW, Tressel was an accomplished member of the swim team and earned four varsity letters. Following graduation, he assisted his father, Dr. Lee Tressel ’48, and mother, Eloise Tressel ’72, and the athletics department with the Lettermen’s Association. He has played an important role in organizing and facilitating Lettermen’s Association events since they were held in the 1970s. From the Golf Outing Fish Fry to the annual football team Steak Fry to the current Golf Outing and Reverse Raffle, Dave has always been willing to help sell tickets and recruit people to attend. He also helps raise funds for silent auctions. This alone has resulted in tens of thousands of dollars being raised for BW Athletics.
