Barclay J. Sanders '34 graduated BW in the class of 1934 and was inducted in the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1978.

Barclay J. Sanders graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in 1934 and was an All-Ohio and All-Big Four offensive back for the Yellow Jackets. He was the first regular forward-passing back in BW gridiron history. "Barky" played under the legendary Ray Watts in high school at West Tech and rejoined his mentor at BW after transferring from Ashland University.

Following graduation from BW, Sanders went on to lead high school football teams at Solon and Brecksville and won two championships in four years. He also coached the girl's basketball teams to a total of 18 championships.

In addition to his coaching career, "Barky" continued his contributions at BW by serving as a linesman and a timer at Yellow Jacket athletic events.
