Matthew Cody Kidd was a four-year letterwinner, three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference, three-time Academic All-OAC, a two-time ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American and an American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Mideast Region baseball centerfielder. The Wellington, Ohio native and two-year team captain appeared in 132 career games and had a .387 career batting average (184-of-478). Kidd tallied 92runs batted-in, 62 stolen basses, 26 doubles, 14 triples, including a school-record tying six in 2009, and six homeruns. He also recorded 477 putouts and 16 assists for a .946 fielding percentage. Off the field, Kidd was a Dean’s List student, a member of the Alpha Lambda, Chi Sigma Alpha and Dayton C. Miller honoraries and the Kenneth F. Steingass Outstanding Male Athlete Award winner. After BW, he graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry where he graduated first in his class. Today, he is an Optometrist at Solinsky EyeCare in Connecticut.
