Roy Seitz earned a Bachelor of Music degree from BW in 1943 but he has been a dedicated volunteer for Yellow Jacket athletics for some 50 years. When Lee Tressel came to coach football in 1957, Roy began helping him with some of the clerical details of the job. In the 1960s, he helped Lee to organize the Letterman's Golf Outing and always could be counted on for chef duties, whether for the golf outing, the coaching staff retreat or team picnics.

Roy supervised the press box during high school football and basketball tournaments for 45 years and, during the week, was the announcer and timer in the press box. He also worked at home track meets and he and his wife Fran still host a post-season barbecue for the women's basketball team.
