Lee Templeton '48 graduated from Baldwin-Wallace in 1948 and was induced in to the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1998.

Templeton is a Berea Native. While in high school he became sports editor of the Berea Enterprise, which led to weekly interviews with Eddie Finnigan, his later coach and mentor.

While a student at B-W, he participated in track and field and was captain for two years. He was the Ohio Conference and All-Ohio champion in 1945 and 1946 and set an All-Ohio 440 record in 1946.

Since graduation cum laude from B-W, he has spent his career in public relations and journalism. His firs job for Storycraft, Inc., led to a position with Federated Department Stores, where he eventually became public relations vice president.

He has also senior management positions with the Newspaper Advertising Bureau, Knight Newspapers and the successor Knight-Ridder.

Other positions include group vice president for Playboy, Inc., and executive vice president of Historical Times.

Templeton and his wife Mary Ann have two children and two grandchildren.
