Donna Wheeler played one year of basketball at B-W, but softball was where she excelled.  In fact she still holds B-W pitching records.  She was named OAC Player of the Week  and All-OAC First Team pitcher from 1989-1992, All-OAC Second Team designated hitter from 1990-1992, National Softball  Coaches Association All-Central Region Second Team in 1991 and First Team in 1992.  In 1992 she had 203 strikeouts in 145 innings, five no-hitters, and one perfect game.  She led the  Yellow Jackets in homeruns and the OAC in RBIs in 1992.

In NCAA Division III national rankings, Donna was rated among the top three  in strikeouts from  1989-1992 (including first place in 1992).  She ranked fifth in 1990 with an ERA of 0.73 and second in 1992 with 0.53 ERA.

A business major as an undergraduate, today she is a finance manager with Liberty Ford in Maple Heights.  She is a member of the Harvey Red Raider Athletic  Booster Club and, in 2002, she was inducted into the Painesville Harvey Athletic Hall of Fame.
