Greene Named OAC Tennis Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Senior women's tennis player Jenny Greene (Worthington /Thomas Worthington) has been named as Ohio Athletic Conference Tennos Player-of-the-Week today (Monday, April 9, 2012). This marks the second weekly honor for Greene. 

Greene took home her honor after going 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles action in a pair of matches last week.  She won her match against the College Wooster in straight sets by scores of 6-0 and 6-2 at number two and then posted a straight set victory against Mount Union  at number one singles by scores of 6-4 and 6-4.  In doubles action, Greene teamed up with junior Danielle Rueger (Ashland) to win both of their matches at number two doubles by identical scores of 8-3. For the season, she has an overall record of 8-10 and is 6-13 in doubles action.

The men's golf team is back in action on Sunday and Monday, April 15-16 when it travels to Westerville to compete in the two-day OAC Spring Invitational hosted by Otterbein University at the Little Turtle Golf Club.

The women's tennis team will travel to Bexley for an OAC match with Capital University on Wednesday, April 11 at 3:30 p.m.   The team will then host NCAA Division II Tiffin University in a non-conference match on Thursday, April 12 on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 3:30 p.m.
