WOOSTER, OHIO -- The defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion Baldwin-Wallace College women's tennis beat host The College of Wooster, 5-4, today (Monday, April 2, 2012) at the D.J. Hard Courts.

With its win, B-W is now 6-9 overall. Wooster is now 2-12 overall.

B-W gained an early 2-1 lead after the doubles competition and won three of six singles matches to claim the win.

In singles play, senior number two player Jenny Greene (Worthington/ Thomas Worthington) won by the scores of 6-0 and 6-2, sophomore No.3 player Morgan Baker (Elyria/ Elyria Catholic) won by the scores of 6-3 and 6-1 and junior No.5 player Danielle Rueger (Ashland) won by the scores of 6-0 and 6-0.

In doubles action, the number one tandem of junior Rebecca Mittler (Elyria/ Elyria Catholic) and Baker won by the score of 9-7 and  Greene and Rueger won by a score of 8-3.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Friday, April 6 when they travel to Alliance, Ohio to play an Ohio Athletic Conference match against the University of Mount Union at 1:00 p.m.
