Women’s Tennis Team Falls to Grove City (Pa.) and Carnegie Mellon (Pa.)

OBERLIN, OHIO -- The defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion Baldwin-Wallace College women's tennis team lost a pair of matches to Grove City College of Pennsylvania, 8-1, and Carnegie Mellon University of Pennsylvania, 9-0, today (Saturday, October 8, 2011) on the Don Hunsinger Courts at Oberlin College. These are the final two matches of the fall season. 

With the two losses, the Jackets record drops to  0-4 overall, while Grove City and Carnegie Mellon both improve it's records to 8-3, 2-0 overall respectively.

The Yellow Jackets, who have won three of the past four OAC titles and advanced to three of the past four NCAA Division III National Tournaments, received their only singles victory of the day from junior Rebecca Mitler (Elyria/Elyria Catholic) 6-3 and 6-3 to Stacy Moon of Grove City. 

The B-W women will return to action this spring when they travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina for their annual spring break trip.
