Dondorfer Garners First Career OAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week Accolade

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – For the first time in her career, Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) has been selected as the OAC Swimmer of the Week. 

Dondorfer earns the weekly honor after finishing first in the seven events she competed in and helping her team defeat Hiram College by a final score of 256-58, Bluffton University 259-31, and Franciscan University of Steubenville 256-58.

In her individual events, she won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:03.71, won the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:20.31, placed first in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:19.98, and finished first in the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 5:05.59. On the relay side, Dondorfer's 200-yard medley relay squad won in a time of 4:24.99, the 200-yard freestyle relay team won in a time of 1:48.39, and the 400-yard freestyle team won in a time of 3:57.69.

In her career, Dondorfer is the reigning Ohio Athletic Conference Champion in the 200-yard individual medley and in the 200-yard backstrokeShe has a career-best 100-yard backstroke time of 1:00.17, career-best 200-yard backstroke time of 2:09.13, and career-best 200-yard individual medley time of 2:11.29. 

The Yellow Jackets return to the pool on Saturday, October 29 as they travel to Buffalo, New York for a a pair of non-conference meets against host Buffalo State College and Fredonia (N.Y.) University in the Kissinger Pool at 1 p.m.
