Reed Wins Second Straight Title and Dondorfer Earns All-OAC Honor; Women's Swimming and Diving Remains in Fourth Place at OAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio -  Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) and junior All-OAC Tia Reed (Bluffton, S.C.) earn All-OAC honors with the Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team remain in fourth place with 282 points on the third day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Ohio Northern University at University of Akron inside Ocasek Natatorium.

The Yellow Jackets individual highlights included:

  • Reed is the back to back OAC champion of the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.58
    • This is Reed's third career All-OAC honors
  • Dondorfer was the runner-up in the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4:41.81
    • This is Dondorfer's fifth career All-OAC honors 
  • Senior Aubrey Syron (Dayton / Archbishop Alter) finished seventh in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:01.59
  • Senior All-OAC performer Bella Ratino (Mentor/Hawken) placed eighth in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:03.58
  • Freshman Morgan Ingalls (Erie, Pa./ Harbor Creek) finished ninth in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:03.72 

BW relays were highlighted by:

  •  The 200-yard medley relay squad of DondorferReedSyron and junior Lauren Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) finished fourth in a time of 1:52.70

The Yellow Jackets are back in action tomorrow for the final day of the OAC Championships at University of Akron inside Ocasek Natatorium. Preliminary action begins each day at 10 a.m. with finals at 5:30 p.m.
