Reed Wins Second Title & Two Other Earn All-OAC Honors; Women's Swimming and Diving Places Fourth at OAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team finish in fourth place with 444 points on season finale and final day of the OAC Championships hosted by Ohio Northern University at University of Akron inside Ocasek Natatorium. John Carroll University took home the win with a total of 1,038 points.

The Yellow Jackets individual highlights included:

  • Junior All-OAC Tia Reed (Bluffton, S.C.) was crowned the 200-yard breaststroke champion in a time of 2:27.89
    • This is Reed's fourth career All-Ohio honors.
  • Senior All-OAC performer Bella Ratino (Mentor/Hawken) was the runner-up in the 1650-yard freestyle in a time of 18:37.24
    • This is Ratino's 12th career All-OAC honors. 
  • Sophomore All-OAC Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) placed third in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:11.35
    • This is Dondorfer's sixth career All-OAC honors 
  • Senior Aubrey Syron (Dayton / Archbishop Alter) finished eighth in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:22.78
  • Junior Kate Wells (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills) finished 14th in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 58.25 seconds

BW relays were highlighted by:

  • The 400-yard freestyle relay squad of DondorferReed, junior Lauren Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) and Ratino placed fourth in a time of 3:45.43
