BW Women's Swim Team Lose at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University women's  swimming and diving team lost today at host and Ohio Athletic Conference rival the University of Mount Union in the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.

The Yellow Jacket women lost to the Purple Raiders, 141-102.  With the loss, the Yellow Jacket women are 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the OAC.

The women were led by sophomore Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon) who won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:01.90 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:02.58. Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC student-athlete Angela Musille (Canton/GlenOak) placed first in the 100-yard breastroke with a time of 1:10.87. Freshman Becca Weil (Ypsilanti, Mich./Milan) won the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:32.91. Freshman Alice Clark (Fairview Park/Fairview) won the 1-meter optional and the 1-meter voluntary dive with scores of 166.00 and 216.25, respectively.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on December 6-8 when they travel to Fredonia, New York to compete at the annual Fredonia State University Invitational Meet. The next home meet is on December 14 when BW women host NCAA Division II Ursuline University in the BW Natatorium 12 p.m.
