BW Swimmers Fall to Ohio Northern

ADA, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University women's  swimming and diving team each was defeated today in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet by Ohio Northern University in the ONU Sports Center.  It was the final away dual meet of the season for the Yellow Jackets.

The ONU women defeated BW, 190-103.  With its loss, the BW women fall to 4-7 overall and 1-4 in OAC duals.

The Yellow Jacket women were led by junior Angela Musille (Canton /GlenOak) who won the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke in times of 1:10.41 and 2:32.08 respectively. She also won the 400-yard Individual Medley in a time of 4:58.82.

In addition to Musille, junior Caitlin Wilson (Wycombe, Pa. /Council Rock North) won the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 19:17.13. Freshman Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon) won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:02.67. Rounding it out for BW was junior Emma Gerdes (Avon) won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:16.21.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, January 26 versus OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University in the BW Natatorium in the Lou Higgins Center at 1:00 p.m.  The final dual meet on the season occurs on Friday, February 1 when BW hosts cross-town and non-league rival Case Western Reserve University in the BW Natatorium for a 6:00 p.m. Seniors' and Parents' Night Meet.
