BW Women's Swim Team Drops OAC Opener

WILMINGTON, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team opened its Ohio Athletic Conference season with a loss to Wilmington College.

The Yellow Jacket women loss to the Wilmington women, 132-73. With its loss, the BW women are now 0-2 this season and 0-1 in the OAC.

The BW women were led by junior Angela Musille (Canton / GlenOak) who won the 200-meter individual medley in a time of 2:39.55. She also won the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:19.48. Along with Musille, junior Emma Gerdes (Avon) won the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:11.03 and the 200-meter medley relay team won with a time of 2:09.75.  The team consisted of GerdesMusille, freshmen Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon) and sophomore Kayla Eyster (Canton, Mich. / Plymouth-Canton).

The Yellow Jackets are back in action next Friday, November 2 when they travel to Oberlin, Ohio to swim on the first of the three-day Cleveland City Duals at Oberlin College at 7:30 p.m. The next day, Saturday, Nov. 3 is the second day of the Cleveland Duals at Oberlin at 11:00 a.m. The event concludes a week later, on Saturday, Nov. 10 when BW hosts the third and final day in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center in Berea at 1:00 p.m.
