BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams fall Ohio Athletic Conference and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University today on the final day of the Cleveland City Duals in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.

The Yellow Jacket women, now 1-4 overall, lost to the Blue Streak women, 161-133. The Yellow Jackets finished sixth overall in the tournament.

The BW women were led by junior Angela Musille (Canton/GlenOak) who won the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststrokes with 1:11.34 and 2:35.36, respectively.  She captured another win with the 400-yard Individual Medley with a time of 4:57.96.

In addition, freshman Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon) won both the 100-yard and 200-yard Butterfly with times of 1:03.13 and 2:20.78, respectively. The 200-yard Medley Relay team consisting of junior Emma Gerdes (Avon), Ashbaugh, Musille, and sophomore Carli Dugan (Mentor), won their event with a time of 1:54.67. Also senior CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American and six-time NCAA Division III All-American senior diver Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) who won both the 1-meter voluntary and 1-meter optional diving events. She won the voluntary event with 203.75 points and captured the optional event with 275.05 points. Gerdes won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:18.10.

The Yellow Jackets return to action next Saturday, November 17 when they host Penn State (Pa.) Behrend University in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Recreation Center at 1:00 p.m.
