Clark Breaks Two Records; Men's Outdoor Track and Field Compete at Walsh Tune-Up

NORTH CANTON, Ohio. - Senior All-OAC hurdler ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park / Berea-Midpark) breaks two-records as the Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Walsh Tune-Up on Larry Staudt Field. The meet was unscored. 

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Clark shattered both 10-year-old 110-meter hurdles stadium record and meet record, both of which were held by the same individual, with a time of 14.84. Clark clocked a time of 14.81 seconds.
  • Junior Carter Almady (Brunswick) placed 19th in the men's 1500-meter run in a time of 4:09.43
  • Junior Mason Kooyman (Concord Township / Chardon) placed eigth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 50.90 seconds
  • Freshman Rodney Washington Jr. (Warrensville Heights / Benedictine) placed 17th in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.42
  • Junior Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg / Benedictine) placed 10th in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:56.82
  • Sophomore Sean Summers  (Avon Lake) finished 28th in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.55 seconds

Field events highlighted:

  • Freshman Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station / Columbia) placed seventh in long jump with a distance of 19' 10.25" and fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 40' 9.25"

The Yellow Jackets are back in action tomorrow, Friday, April 28 when they travel to Ashland University for the two-day Ashland Alumni Open inside the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex.
