Men's Indoor Track and Field Host Unscored Mid-February Meet

BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team host the second home meet of the season, the Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center. The meet was unscored. 

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Junior Carter Almady (Brunswick) won the 5,000-meter run in a time of 15:43.44
  • Junior Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg / Benedictine) won the one-mile run in a time of 4:28.53 and second in the 1000-meter run in a time of 2:36.41
  • Senior ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park / Berea-Midpark) won the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 7.74 seconds
  • Junior Vontae Jackson (Cleveland / John Hay) won the 55-meter dash in a time of 6.50 seconds
  • Senior David Russo (DePew, N.Y. / DePew) placed second in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 8:49.41
  • Freshmen Donovan Birkett (Barbeton / Rootstown) finished fifth in the 500-meter run in a time of 1:11.19

Field events highlighted:

  • Freshmen Kaeden Faggs (Marion / Harding) won long jump with a distance of 21' 8"
  • Sophomore Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) won high jump 6' 4¾"
  • Clark placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 40' 7"
  • Sophomore Thomas Hickman (Oxford / Talawanda) finished fourth in weight throw with a mark of 47' 3"
  • Sophomore Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) placed third in shot put with a distance of 45' 9¼"

On the relay side:

  •  The 4x400 relay squad of freshmen Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station / Columbia), SikorskiStanley and Faggs won in a time of 3:34.78
  • The 4x200 relay team of FaggsJackson, sophomore Khalize Beamon (Rochester, N.Y. / Spencerport) and sophomore Mikel Love (Fort Pierce, Fla. / Westwood) won in a time of 1:32.37

BW returns to the track on Friday, February 17 when it travels to Cleveland to compete in the Ed Finnegan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invitational, hosted by Case Western Reserve in the Veale Center Fieldhouse at 4:00 p.m.
