Men's Indoor Track and Field Finish Fourth at the Ed Finnegan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invitational

CLEVELAND - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field finished fourth with 123 points at the Ed Finnegan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invitational, hosted by Case Western Reserve in Veale Center Fieldhouse.

 The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Senior ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park / Berea-Midpark) won the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.37 seconds
  • Freshman Kaeden Faggs (Marion / Harding) placed third in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.15 seconds
  • Senior David Russo (DePew, N.Y. / DePew) finished fifth in the one-mile run in a time of 4:25.53 
  • Freshman Donovan Birkett (Barbeton / Rootstown) placed eighth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 54.42 seconds 
  • Freshman Trey Powell (Loveland) finished fourth in the 500-meter run in a time of 1:11.53
  • Freshman Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station) placed second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:00.77
  • Senior Lucas Simonetti (Pittsford, N.Y. / Sutherland) finished eighth in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 2:49.55 
  • Sophomore Caden Bomback (Vermillion/ Firelands) placed fourth in the 200-meter dash in a time 23.49 seconds

Field events highlighted:

  • Sophomore Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) finished second in the shot put with a mark of 46' 0½"
  • Sophomore Thomas Hickman (Oxford / Talawanda) placed fourth in weight throw with a mark of 46' 2¾"
  • Faggs finished third in long jump with a distance of 20' 11¼"
  • Clark tied for second in triple jump with a mark of 40' 9¾"
  • Sophomore Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) finished second in high jump with a height of 6' 2¾"

On the relay side:

  • In the 4x400 relay, Sikorski, freshman Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station / Columbia), Clark, and Birkett in a time of 3:41.55  

The Yellow Jackets are back in action when it hosts the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday, February 24-25, on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center.
