Men's Outdoor Track and Field Travels To Oberlin For Bob Kahn Invitational

OBERLIN, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Bob Kahn Invitational hosted by Oberlin College on Robert Kahn Track. The meet was unscored. 

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Junior Mason Kooyman (Concord Township / Chardon) won the 400-meter dash in a time of 50.48 seconds
  • Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference hurdler ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park / Berea-Midpark) won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.05
  • Junior Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg / Benedictine) won the 800-meter run in a time of 1:56.96
  • Junior Carter Almady (Brunswick) finished second in the 3000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:01.94
  • Freshman Kaeden Faggs (Marion / Harding) placed third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.74 seconds
  • Senior David Russo (DePew, N.Y.) placed seventh in the 1500-meter run in a time of 4:12.48
  • Sophomore Sean Summers  (Avon Lake) finished 13th in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.50 seconds

Field events highlighted:

  • Sophomore Thomas Hickman (Oxford / Talawanda) won discus throw with a mark of 141' 5" and placed fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 151' 9"
  • Junior Joe Barnes (West Plains, Mo.) finished fifth in javelin throw with a distance of 127' 10"
  • Clark placed seventh in the high jump with a height of 5' 7"
  • Freshman Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station / Columbia) placed fifth in triple jump with a distance of 42' 6¾"

On the relay side:

  • The 4x400 meter relay squad of KooymanFrisconeStanley, and freshman Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station) placed third in a time of 3:36.01

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, April 8th when they travel to Delaware, Ohio to compete in the Marv Fyre Invitational on George Gauthier Track inside Selby Stadium
