Men's Indoor Track and Field Lies in 10th Place After First Day at OAC Championships

MARIETTA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team participated in the first day of action at the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, hosted by Marietta College in the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center.

BW currently lies in 10th place amongst the 10 participating schools with two total points after Day 1. The University of Mount Union sits atop the team standings with 79 points.

The Yellow Jackets lone two points scored in today's championship meet came from the foursome of sophomores David Prather (Hardin, Mont.) and Joe Juda (Strongsville), and freshmen Zack Justus (Maineville/Kings) and Alex Burkhammer (Chardon/Grand Valley), all of whom collaborated for a seventh-place finish in the distance medley relay event with a final time of 11:00.26.

Freshman sprinter/hurdler ShaDaryll Clark (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) claimed an eighth-place performance in the 55-meter hurdles event with a career-best preliminary mark of 7.88 seconds. Clark will advance, along with the other top-nine performers in the 55-meter hurdles event, to tomorrow's final round.

BW returns to action tomorrow, as it competes in the second day of the OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in the same location at 10:00 a.m.
