AUSTIN, Texas -- Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC thrower Ted Achladis (Avon Lake/Elyria Catholic) and senior All-American, All-OAC and Academic All-OAC distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) have been named as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Academic All-Americans.

Achladis, who was a middle childhood education major that carried a 3.83 grade point average, earns his first career accolade as he was selected to the third-team.  He becomes the 12th men's cross country and track and field student-athlete to earn the honor.  Achladis is a three-time Academic All-OAC and USTFCCCA All-Academic selection, a Dean's List student, Jacket scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. Athletically, Achladis was a 2018 national qualifier, a four-time USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region selection, four-time All-OAC performer and 2018 OAC shot put champion. During his career, he competed in the weight throw, hammer throw, shot put, and discus throw events.

Brennan, who is an accounting and finance double major that carried a 3.974 grade point average, garners her second career first-team accolade after earning her first honor in 2018.  She becomes the 15th women's cross country and track and field student-athlete to earn the accolade.  Brennan is also a 2020 NCAA Women of the Year nominee. She is a five-time Academic All-OAC selection, a two-time CoSIDA All-District 7 first-team selection, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Sigma Alpha honoraries. On the track and the course,  she is an 18-time NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region performer (four cross country and 14 track), 17-time All-OAC selection (four cross country and 13 track), 13-time All-Ohio performer (four cross country and nine track), eight-time letterwinner (four in each sport), six-time Division III national qualifier (two cross country and four track) and four-time All-American (one cross country and three track).  Brennan also holds five school-records indoors and four outdoors.

The duo become the sixth and seventh Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be named as Academic All-Americans in 2019-20.  The seven Academic All-Americans ranks as the most in school-history in any academic year.  BW now has 124 all-time Academic All-Americans, which is more than any Division III college or university in the OAC or the state of Ohio and ranks 11th nationally in Division III.
