BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Department has announced its Clyde Lamb Award winners.
The Clyde A. Lamb Awards are presented annually to 10 male and 10 female student-athletes from each of the Ohio Athletic Conference institutions. Criteria for the award includes at least two years participation in an OAC-sponsored sport, senior status, a minimum GPA of 3.00 and sportsmanlike conduct in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete and his or her institution.
All-American and three-time Academic All-OAC wrestler Charlie Nash (Norwalk) and All-American and three-time All-OAC and Academic All-OAC point guard Riley Schill (Sheffield Village/Elyria Catholic) were named the male and female Clyde Lamb Award recipients.
Nash caps off an illustrious career as a four-year letterwinner, three-time NCAA Division III national qualifier, three-time All-Central Region performer and 2018-19 Division III All-American at 133 pounds. In his final season, Nash was second on the team with 30 wins and a 30-7. He was ranked as high as fourth in the nation at 133 pounds. Nash ends his career ranked fifth in school history with 112 wins. He had a career-record of 112-44 with 35 pins, 13 technical falls and seven major decisions. Off the mat, Nash is an economics major that carries a 3.601 grade point average. He was a four-time National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-American, three-time NWCA Division III Scholar-Athlete selection, three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.
Schill ends her career as a four-year letterwinner, three-time All-OAC selection and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American. This season, Schill was the team leader in scoring with 11.7 points per-game. She led the OAC and was ninth in Division III with .883 free throw percentage. Schill led the team and was second in the conference with 59 steals. For her career, Schill appeared in 109 games and recorded 989 points289 rebounds. She ranks tied for fifth in school-history with 325 assists and eighth in steals with 166. Off the court, Schill is a biology major that carries a 3.97 grade-point average. She is a three-time Academic All-OAC selection, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the BW Honors Program and the Chi Alpha Sigma and Alpha Lambda Delta honoraries.
