Four Men's Track and Field Student-Athletes Land on 2020 Academic All-OAC Team

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Four Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field student-athletes have landed on the 2020 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA).

Senior thrower Ted Achladis (Avon Lake/Elyria Catholic), sophomore distance runner Jeremy Coad (Dublin/Jerome), sophomore distance runner Zach Riggins (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland), and senior distance runner Isaac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./North Clarion) are four of 45 Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be recognized this spring.

Achladis, who earns his third consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is a middle childhood education major carrying a 3.83 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, Jacket scholar, member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society, and three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic selection. Athletically, Achladis is a 2018 national qualifier, four-time USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region selection, four-time All-OAC performer, and 2018 OAC champion. During his career, he has competed in the weight throw, hammer throw, shot put, and discus throw events.

Coad, who earns his first career Academic All-OAC honor, is a finance major carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA. He is a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar. During his career, he has competed in the 55-meter dash, 1-mile, 800, 1,500, 3,000, and 5,000-meter runs, and 4x400-meter relay.

Riggins, who earns his first career Academic All-OAC honor, is a biology major carrying a 3.60 GPA. He is also a Dean's List student. During his career, he has competed in the 1-mile, 800, 1,000, 1,500, 3,000, and 5,000 runs, 400-meter hurdles, 3,000-meter steeplechase event, and 4x400-meter relay.

Wilson, who earns his third consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is an exercise science major carrying a 3.57 GPA. He is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, and Lifespan Student Ambassador. During his career, he has competed in the 1-mile, 800, 1,000, 1,500, 3,000, 5,000, and 10,000-meter runs, and 4x400-meter and distance medley relays.
